Sharing food, evoking the meaning of 'coming together' to build connections and trust.

Peace-Meal's Sophia Htwe was host and organiser of Naan Wa Namak, alongside Tania Miletic. Sophia with Ko developed the theme 'မိတ်ဆုံစားပွဲ စကားဝိုင်းဖလှယ်ပွဲ' about coming together with a meal to create a wonderful experience for all.

မိတ်ဆုံစားပွဲ စကားဝိုင်းဖလှယ်ပွဲ means a lot to the people of Myanmar. It evokes and signifies coming together. It evokes the nostalgia of home and the power of sharing food to support bonding and trust.

Nourishing spirit through story-sharing, poetry and music.

During the evening Sophia led reflections,  we enjoyed music, sharing stories and nourished our minds, spirits as well as our stomaches!
