Sharing food, evoking the meaning of 'bread and salt' to build connections and trust.

Peace-Meal's Essan Dileri was host and organiser of Naan Wa Namak, alongside Tania Miletic. Essan developed the theme 'Naan Wa Namak' and created a wonderful experience for all.

Naan Wa Namak holds a lot of meaning to people in Afghanistan. It evokes and signifies coming together. It evokes the nostalgia of home and the power of sharing food to support bonding and trust.

Nourishing spirit through story-sharing, poetry and music.

During the evening Essan led reflections, shared beautiful poetry, we enjoyed music, danced and nourished our minds, spirits as well as our stomaches!
