Peace-Meal Events aim to create space for sharing food and recognising the daily efforts of peacebuilders and communities in nourishing peace.
Peace-Meal with Children is about opportunities to excite children with cooking nad sharing stories about food and peace. It also allows for intergeneration exchange.
Peace-Meal's Helen Bishop and Tania Miletic and her son have facilitated peace-meal events with children.
During Helen's 'damper-making' and Tania and Toma's 'dough-making' events children, parents and grandparents help nourish children's minds and tummys.
Children can enjoy some simple food-making lessons and can chat about peace in a simple and fun way.
The event is part of Peace-Meal Peacebuilding, co-hosted by Alternatives to Violence Victoria. Funded by the Jan de Voogd Trust. We met on the unceded lands of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
